Coaches

All Coaches at Andover AC are unpaid volunteers who not only attend training sessions for their groups but spend a great deal of time in preparation and study each and every week throughout the year. Please bear this in mind when requesting help and advice. Although the Coaches are committed to their athletes and passionate about athletics they have their day jobs to look after and families to care for.

All of our Coaches are UKA qualified and DBS checked

Coaching groups

Andover AC is fortunate in that it has coaches to cover most athletic disciplines. Several of the groups actually cover more than their names suggest, for example the Middle Distance Group includes athletes who run on the track, some who run on the road and most do some cross country during the winter months.

If you wish to join a particular group do have a look at the pages on this website which give some information and then come to the Club and join in a training session. If the group is not for you the Coach will discuss with you the options available.

The groups tend to overlap in both events and ages. This is because we make every effort to help our athletes where they are happiest. Within each group the individuals are given the help and encouragement to achieve their maximum potential.

The groups are as follows

  • Coach: Chris Dewey / Michael Stone
